  I really like the way you composed this. The shadings really work and the planes of the face are wonderful.

  thanks Francis (and very belated thanks Caryl). it was a simple vectorizer image. i believe I used the setting where the canvas is not set to black or to white... so the previous canvas "shows through" the spaces in the current vectorizer image. so you get some looseness and mild chaos.
