  This one I managed to reproduce. First set canvas to black, run a sketch, I used curved abstract and the your Im_op above. This with source image U-nik #0027 and the result came very close. I tried on several pictures from the China National Circus, my favorite, but then I do not get enough detail in my results. Example see annex. Is it correct that your preset is working based on the output of the sketch I run first combined with the colors of the source ?

  No i simply used this preset on the picture but you can change the thickness of the paint strokes to have a more sketchy look

  i made tests on different pictures, doesn't work with all, or you have to adjust the synthesizer.

  Danny, what is the initial resolution of this picture ?  350 x 288 ? You should work in higher resolution to have a finer result.

  1024x843 was the original size. What do you mean with adjusting the synthesizer?

  The hint with changing the paint strokes works great, that helps with getting more detail in it.
