I've been beefing up the gallery show features recently. Grabbed this as it flashed by during some testing. It was generated from working off of auto-mutated paint presets.

  • Beautiful work. Very nice indeed.

  • Here's some information on Gallery Show.

It's a new feature in Studio Artist 4 that allows for automatic generation of artwork. So the user is in the loop setting up the particular automatic process that will take place, and then culling through the results looking for 'keeper' images. But the actual art was generated by Studio Artist.

The particular gallery show technique i was using was mutating factory paint presets while running. So, i setup a folder of source images, that it randomly dips into. And it's randomly dipping into factory paint presets, and then mutating the ones it randomly selects.

There's also a gallery show option for auto-masking the source image, and i believe i may have had that turned on as well.

The original idea for incorporating gallery show, was to allow for users to create custom free-running dynamic art shows that they could display in an art gallery based on studio artist. But it's also great for generating artwork or new presets.

Here's some more articles on gallery show that show off some different things you can do with it.
