Experimenting with some different approaches to generating pseudo-woodcut effect using vector paint (which allows for svg vector file output if you want that).  I'm working with time particle trajectories to build all of the paint paths that aren't the source outline anchor. I embedded a Smart Contrast Ip Op effect in a paint synthesizer preset to build the vector source outline anchoring.

  • "I embedded a Smart Contrast Ip Op effect in a paint synthesizer preset to build the vector source outline anchoring."

    How do you do that?

  • Any image operation effect (IpOp) that generates vector paths can be embedded in the paint synthesizer. So then you can run a single paint action step that internally runs the embedded Ip OP to generate vector paths that are then painted in using the paint synthesizer.

So it's a great connivence feature we added that makes it easy to extend either the IpOp effect or the paint synthesizer depending on how you approach using the embedding feature.

All of the embedded Ip OP parameters are stored in the embedded paint synthesizer paint preset file. Or in the single paint actions tep in a paint action sequence (PASeq) if you are using it there.

I'll try to post a tutorial on this topic later today.  I have discussed the mechanics of this on the user forum before, but it's worth revisiting for sure.
