not easy to do. How can I create this ? When you create an eps file to import in a 3D software, you don't have the volume. You have to extrude it manually. These unregular volumes are impossible to extrude like in this picture.
Perhaps with a sculpting software like Zbrush or 3D Coat....
Bernard you are the MSG expert. FF is basically the MSG with different plumbing. In fact if you find a process in FF that does not exist in the MSG please let John know.
Now as to this picture I suppose that a low frequency texture and gradient lighting will get one close.

print that in 3d!

yes you will almost certainly have to re-create it in a 3d program. I leave such details to the technicians, like you ;-)

one day when I'm old and embittered, I'll be an artist…..
Too Late!
That looks like it was done using ZBrush! The perception of depth is incredible.
I think.
I don't have binocular vision, so I'm just guessing about the depth thing. (I'm told it's quite awesone)
It was a FF preset on a SA picture ! Would be cool if I could "synchronize" FF with SA; I'll try to modify and put an edge detection...

Yes, perhaps you're right, I'll take a look at the processors.
Technicians like processors...
just a couple of technical experiments
