Frogs

Some different looks that SA's tools allow

"frogtest" is an example of a torn paper look. Each torn bit is actually drawn lasso style and the paper effect and depth generated into the selection. Raster based.

If generated on Layers - this kind of art can be broken up into parts that can be exported and animated (puppet style - in a program dedicated to such things).

frogsoft (image below) is vector based art - also drawn with lasso. The fills are semi transparent and the wet effects are created using vector based presets. Literally a wet effect applied after drawing solid areas is applied as if water was being applied. The whole thing can be exported as SVG - tho parts do not render as the raster version here shows. Something I will have to enquire into.10886327272?profile=RESIZE_710xI will have to see if I can record an example of the interactive aspect of painting with these sorts of presets. The final image is satisfying - but half the fun of the painting experience is applying the paint and how (as John D has described it - seeing the "wet mix" happening.

  • Craig, shoot me a paint action sequence preset that includes the parts you are having difficulty with getting out in svg in an email and i'll take a look at it.

We're also trying to work through some other new alternate approaches for vector output in pre_V6 that don't need to be svg based.  So you can just record it and then rescale it later directly in Studio Artist to your higher outout resolution.

There's also a new option in paint action sequences that allows all of the many internal individual random seeds to be captured and played back (if you turn that on) in individual PASeq action steps to give you true reproducability for playback on things you free paint.
