  • Running some SA V5.5 gallery show tests.

You can adaptively auto-mask in each GS cycle working off of either the source or the current canvas in Gallery Show in V5.5. Abstractly auto-masking the canvas over multiple professing cycles can be a pretty wild ride.

I was using random factory paint presets for the GS technique, with intelligent paint strategy options turned on (they modify the factory presets, building something like a little mini PASeq off of them to dial in a paint effect over multiple internal passes).

  • Mind boggling... looking forward to trying some of these features out

  • The GS auto-masking when applied to the existing canvas opens up a whole new level of experimentation.

There are other options that will flip back and for between source and canvas selection.

There's also a whole new generative gradient sweep option for the auto-selection, which is a whole different take on what you can do with this to build a dynamic art process.

I should also point out that you don't have to go into Gallery Show to access generative selection strategies in SA V5.5.  You can access them manually up at the top in the working interface.  This ties into the concept of letting you access gallery show 'intelligent' features as a part of your manual workflow in the main Studio Artist interface.
