This is one of the new presets that will be coming out with 4.03 and it is called Grid Curls2 in AutoPaint/Creative Image Render. It is not using the local color range option because it is vector. It is using watershed region in path start and also the visual error setting in path end is set to BlankingAsBlack PaintLumErr which is new in 4.03 and works great on vector stuff. The regular PaintColor LumErr works too but the other allows vectors to overdraw on what is in the canvas kind of a nice layer effect without layers. Then to get more detail I use the path length modulator in Path Shape to get different path lenghts. In this instance I used Texture but I find that Inv Lumination works good too.

You mentioned that there was a new preset coming out with 4.03 . "Grid Curl". I just installed 4.03 and didn't see any presets. Are they available elsewhere ?
We're still putting some finishing touches on the new preset collection associated with 4.03. So those will be distributed to everyone shortly, so bear with us as we finish those last minute touches up.

Yeah, i believe Hulagirl was referring to new paint preset categories that take advantage of new 4.30 features. Like the new visual error path end options she mentions. All of those new categories she referred to are included in the new preset collections we will be distributing soon. It will probably be a few more days before we put those up for download.
