  • Really nice positive-negative space study.

  • Yes

  • Thank you both !

  • Matisse would be happy.

  • He salutes you...

  • Really perfect. I have a question, for example I want to use this as a stencil silhouette but if I print this with a machine cutter it losts some of its regions because some of them are inside that cuts, for a good stencil all the regions must join to each other. for complex stencil it is difficult detecting with human eyes, do you think studio artist can process an image and convert it to a stencil that we can send to cutter machine directly?
  • Thanks, I don't have experience with cutter machine.

But in this case, you can adjust the positif/negatif. The range is not big, just 5 values.

Another solution, is 3D printing, just wait , and you'll see it soon :-)

    I'll finish printing it.

  • Samm- you could use the program to get a result similar to Bernard's and then hand connect the regions before sending to the cutter.

Depending on whether one is using the MSG, the Vectorizor or the Paint Synth, there are ways to join regions, however the result might not be what you are looking for. Joining regions in SA makes a bigger region out of smaller ones it does not "bridge" regions so as to make a continuous region for stencil cutting.

  • In answer to Morales question, here is a 3D printing of this picture.
