Another painting that is built by configuring the paint synthesizer to work with the principals of an energy based model rendering approach.

I'm also experimenting with bezier anchored gradient lighting in this experiment. A bezier anchored image processing effect is tied to a bezier path.  So the effect only happens along a local area associated with a set of bezier paths, as opposed to being applied to the entire canvas.  One can build the bezier paths based on the source image, or based on what is already in the canvas. What happens in the painting as you recursively build it up will be very different depending on which of these 2 approaches you use.

Again, the energy based model approach to digital painting works as follows. Rather than directly applying colored paint to build up an image, i instead apply energy forces to the existing canvas that push it in a way that the coloring i want develops over time.

This is a still frame from a paint animation, but you could use a single still image and run multiple cycles of the paint action sequence that implements the rendering model to recursively build up a single still painting if that is what you wanted to create.
