This is a frame from a video animation generated in Studio Artist V5.5.5. I'm working with painting over time as controlling a resonate phenomena that plays out over the course of the animation. You can see all kinds of different reaction-diffusion texturing happening in this example.

  • What it looked like in an earlier animation run before i started to drive it into chaotic resonate behavior.

So i'm just using 2 fairly simple Sketch Mass IpOP effects for the painting of 'stuff' on the canvas. And then i'm using a modulated interactive warp as the dispersion component.

To make the system resonate, i need to induce additional 'energy' into the system. There are many different approaches one can use to do it.  If it was a physical system you would add some heat (to bring it to a boil).

So how does one do this in a digital animation?  You can add some form of 'gain' to the system.

You also want to think about what 'features' in the system you want to enhance, and then adjust your 'gain' system to be modifying those features.
