  • I've been meaning to comment on this image for a while. I think it is the most "painterly" image you've put up yet. If just feels "oil-icious" to me. Seeing this kind of work really inspires me to elevate my efforts. Super cool stuff!
  • Also flickr image. To find some effects, I choose an interesting image, and then I run the Gallery Show in SA, with PASeq first (1493 images) and MSG (8981 images) . It takes more than 1 day to generate them automaticaly. I have specially a Mac only for these operations... and I select the most interesting images ! If you are interesting, I can give you the entire listing ! I think, it's the only way to test all the effects quickly. The only problem with the Gallery show actually, (John has modified it) is that each effect does not systematicaly begin with the original image, sometimes, the next effect is based from the prev effect ! This image was made with PASeq effects, and PS Snap Art.
  • That is an interesting approach. I haven't done much with the processing within SA. In fact I experimented a bit at first with PASeq effects and then moved on to a full manual approach (think conventional painting). I guess I am probably missing a lot but we each have an individual path that we work with. I did download the SnapArt plugin for PS and it looks pretty cool for adding texture. On a couple of my pieces I applied texture in SA with pretty good results but it isn't intuitive as how to do this. I've been thinking of just dropping an image in Painter and enabling the impasto layer (clear) and just painting in the texture using the built in controls for lighting. I did a few commercial (illustration) pieces and it worked nicely. Keep pushing - your work is really nice.
  • Thanks Richard, I hope you "understood" my english... :)
