It's been a while I've submitted stuff to the Studio Artist user group. My thesis film, The Door to Tomorrow is done at this point. However, my animator, and I strongly agreed that we need to rework some of the shots. So it'll be a while before the full release of the film. In the mean time, I processed the entire 11 minute movie into 1 picture using the slit scan temporal image operation. This is actually an interesting approach to seeing stuff. I used the slit scan feature to display cuts and timings for my musician and others. It's a unique and handy way of showing where timings should be and so on. So aside the artistic, I've been using the feature for utility purposes as well.

I usually just go with slit scan complete, since in most cases I would be processing the film in parts. Depending on the shot it ranges from 30 seconds to 2 minutes or so. I generally keep the settings at default so I can just show where the cuts are and so on. Nothing too exciting though I should mention for some cases it made communication easier because I can point to the cut easily as long as I indicate with markers or so. I guess I can write something on the form about this usage for the feature.
