  I'm using lighting brush load in the paint synth to generate the raised paint effects. To get the rake effect, i tried a different approach with this than i normally do. I setup the Brush Source to be an elongated oval, then used path orientation modulation for the brush orientation (Brush Modulation control panel), so the ellipses track the path orientaiton. I then used interactive multipen pen mode to spread out the individual elongated ellipse brush nibs into a 1D equal spaced rake.
