Here's a simple MSG preset that generates a pantograph effect.
The green source color channel (GSrc) is being used to modulate the pantograph effect. By processing that in some way with MSG processors, you could come up with all kinds of variations of the effect.

Here's a different approach to source luminance modulated black and white vertical bars.
This is a MSG preset. It's using a blurred green source channel to modulate a RotateScale warp processor.
