  • I put them in the Preset folder, and when importing them into the Paint Syn, it goes looking for the Brush folder. I've had sporadic luck with each of the 5 presets:
#1 goes to the brush folder upon importing and opening, then pops into the preset window
    #2 worked once only
#3 came up with the title for #1 and crashed again
#4 brought up the brush folder, but upon canceling it, the preset appeared where it should in the preset window
    #5 crashed on import
The above represents the recent attempts today, but this had been going on for some time, just never brought it up before now.
Because the Brush folder kept popping up, I put them there to test, but they didn't work from there either, so moved them back to the Preset folder.
    • Ok, it looks like your Brush folder is pre 4.02, since you are missing a brush file it's looking for. Download this image brush, decompress the zip archive, and place the Canvas1.jpg file in your Brush folder.

      Canvas1.jpg.zip

    • I found a 'canvas1.jpg.gif' with a Nov 6,2010 date in the Brushes folder which seemed to be causing the problem. I added the "Canvas1.jpg" with Aug 29, 2005 date and haven't had a problem since. Odd that the latest dated one caused the problem and not the older one...
  • I just tried downloading them and importing them into 4.02 and they run fine here. So i'm not sure what to tell you. Any chance you are trying to import them as something other than a paint preset?
  • When I try to use these, the machine freezes and I have to force quit. Any ideas?
