Path Divergence is a feature in Path End. I've been working on enhancing it to make it work better. We also moved it from Path End to Path Angle in the next version, since that's a better place for it based on what it's doing. It basically lets you set up conditions where a generated path will bounce back if it runs into those conditions. Like if the color error or texture error exceeds a certain specified amount.
Also, i start the painting process by using the Color SImplify ip op to generate an effected color backing image. I then overpaint on top of that.

hey John, so tell us what is going on here. I see it is labled a color radius divergence test. what parameters are being adjusted by the divergence?
