Since we've been looking at concentric circles i thought i'd try something a little different than a paint synthesizer approach. This was generated using 2 applications of the Line Screen Block Regionize image operation and one vectorizer outline pass between them composited at 50%. The original output is very geometric (the ellipses are perfect), but i wanted something more organic. I had set up the 3 rendering steps described above to have hard non anti-aliased edges of the solid color areas. So i could then run a final vectorizer pass using the Flat Input Technique with a Simplify Lite region effect. the region effected vectorization of the final output gave the vector shapes a more organic appearance. I used the vector anti-alias canvas render technique to have anti-aliased edges for my final vectorizer output. This example shows off why you might want to use the hard edged Pixel Raster Fill canvas render option when working with the vectorizier or any other effect. The hard pixelated edges might be desirable for a subsequent processing step. Since my final PASeq step is a vectorization step this image or anything else generated from the PASeq could be output as a vector pdf or svg file for resolution independent scaling and printing.
