v7a

An ugly artistic rendition of really ugly stuff going on in Portland in real time as a failing nation state continues to disintegrate before our eyes. This is real rough, lacking in the fine tuning finishing and framing touches i'd normally want to do to clean it up. But raw is probably better in this case. I'm running a gallery show configuration that intelligently auto-masks the content before dumping it on the canvas as an overlay to what is already there. The masked overlays are abstracted (made more geometrical) prior to being overlaid. I'm working with a folder of topical news imagery taken in the last few days. I use gallery show to run hand picked and hand adjusted temporal image operation effects on the curated news images. Which images get selected, and in what order, is a uniform random automatic process. I'm using the new Gallery Show toolbar (lucky me), so i can run single GS cycles at the push of a button, bring up the GS Editor at the touch of a button, etc. I've got the Editor open and the op mode set to Temporal Ip Op so i can see and adjust the controls of the specific TIpOp i am working with. Don't be afraid to use the undo key when working this way. I keep running single GS cycles, and then undoing them until i get an overlay that seems to make artistic sense to me for the construction of the final developing canvas image.
