Photos Dissappering

Has anyone else noticed that photos they had posted to their page disappearing? I imagine it could just be a bit of house keeping to limit the storage demands of the site, but some notice would have been nice.

    I'm not sure what you mean? All of the photos i have ever posted to the user forum photos section are still there.

    The problem I've had recently is that I get the "Loading..." message for some parts of Ning pages, but then item never loads. This includes the photos slide show and videos.

    I suppose it has something to do with the fact that I'm still using Safari 2.
    (Afraid to upgrade to Safari 3 for Tiger for many reasons.)

      I've never had a problem uploading to this forum using the latest safari. I do have problems with safari and blogspot where it hangs on uploads. However, it always works with the latest Firefox there, so you could try uploading to the forum using firefox.

        The audio software I use (Pro Tools) is very touchy when it comes to changes in the system software. I've got it so it's stable with version 10.4.9 of the Mac OS, but I fear the headaches I may encounter if I update to the latest version which is required for Safari 3.0.

    No problem with Loading.. Photos that I posted are just plain gone. About half a dozen or so. Some of which fellow members had commented on some with no comments. For example there was one with a sunset in a park(which had comments), another of a vermont barn,(which did not). How about the one of the french garden/ now that I think of it there are probably more than 6 missing..

    Not just missing from the main page display which seems to be capped at 100, but gone off "My Page" as well.

    Strange if no one else has seen any go. Hmm./

Is anybody making a copy of all the material in the Tutorials Forum

Since the Forum is going away in June, has anyone started to make a copy of all the stuff in the Tutorials forum?I've made copies of some of the tutorial material on the main site, but haven't looked at the Tutorial Forum yet.I'm going to continue copying as much as I can for my own personal use anyway, but if anyone else is doing it, or has already started doing it, please let me know.Maybe we can co-ordinate our efforts. ps can't ..... believe John, would let this happen without so much as a…

Studio Artist is in Italy!

I was crawling the streets of Matera, Italy today and may have discovered where SA is hiding!  (see attached photo). Not meaning to make light of this great, sad mystery. But I just couldn't resist as I try to make sense of what's happening. Losing my connection to SA, Synthetik and John has been a great sadness... and if real, ends a monumental era in my creative life. love,~Victor
