I am not so much interested in the 3d effect but rather the patterned arrangement of Polygons. Sort of like was you were chasing with your triangulations. In this case it might help to think quilting.

being able to generate patterns like these in the MSG and the being able to evolve new patterns would eb very nice

I added some diamond patterning MSG processors. Nice alternative to Truchet patterning.

My tests were based on a triangulation preset, but I can't create your patterns. Only msg can do it so perfectly. (truchet ?)

So i started working on adding 9 square quilt patterning. In some ways these are more interesting than the variations of the 2x2 diamond figure. Will follow basically the same path as the diamond figure development, core routines, then MSG, vectorizer, and vector paint patterning options.
