Another gallery show image created using a custom generative process based on the mutate factory PASeq technique. Along with randomized source masking via the 'Surprise Me' Auto Mask Option. • I would highly encourage anyone who hasn't checked out Studio Artist's gallery show features to give them a whirl.

Here are 2 tips on working with gallery show to help you get started using it.

And here's a link to some additional Gallery Show overview articles to help you get a conceptual handle around everything it could possibly help you achieve artistically.

That could include creating algorithmic or generative artwork, building new custom mutated preset collections, previewing existing factory preset categories or operation mode effect types, as well as constructing custom live running gallery shows that you could build using Studio Artist and then instal in an art gallery.

That last option was it's original intention when we initially added the gallery show feature to V4, but our customers quickly came up with other uses for gallery show, so it's capabilities have expanded tremendously over time based on user feedback.

And i'm always happy to post more tutorials or tips if anyone has specific questions about how gallery show works. Or perhaps new features they would like to see us add to it in the future.

To be honest, we've barely scratched the surface of what could potentially be achieved by this one Studio Artist feature. One very unique feature that is extremely open-ended. And extremely user customizable if you choose to put in the effort to understand how it works and then custom configure it yourself.

  • Another screen grab from the same gallery show  run as the initial post. Note the diversity in the range of potential effects from a single gallery show configuration.

I say screen grab, but i'm actually using studio Artist's image stream functionality to automatically save every generative art image created during each gallery show cycle as my custom gallery show configuration runs.

Here's a tip on working with image or movie streams in Studio Artist.

Note that you need to turn on the 'Enable Write on Gallery Show Cycle' Stream Flag if you want the end result of each gallery show cycle to be output to the open movie or image stream.

If you want to save the presets that are being generated during your custom gallery show configuration run, just turn on history recording, and then save that history sequence when the gallery show run is finished.
