Hi Guys,So I have setup a forum here:http://www.sawberry.com/bbs/It links to the archive stuff. Try playing with BW soft threshold adjust then the invert ImOp. Alternatively, you might try Using the fixed image ImOp seting the color space YIQ then the composite to edge3 and the composite space to Lum. After this you will want to either do a bias gain adjust or run one of a variety of ImOps that will brighten the contrast and smooth the image
here is a PASeq that will do a fair job of simulating a depth mask. I am reasonably certain that there is a more direct way via the MSG. John might be able to help with that.
depthmapsimulated.zip
depending on how noisy your source is this one might work better. The last step is turned off- this step is an invert step, might be needed for some source images.
depthmapsim2.zip
version 2 works on this image because it is not very noisy. Art is not mine used only for example all rights reserved to the original artist.
These are perfect. Thank you so much for your help. Would never have figured out how to do this on my own.
