It’s been a while since I just fiddled with SA dials.
It used to be called “generative art” where the code did the heavy lifting.
The examples here are play… These were made with vector Paint Synth Presets cd_vect-generative.zip.
The attached zip contains a set of Paint Synth Presets that made most of these.

My problem now, is that my final output is usually around 14x18 inches and 300dpi, so most of the detail is lost when I publish on web-sites.
I usually submit a low res image, than a high-res image of one small section. Printing on Canvas is where they really come alive.
Tony,
Cool effect!! I would have to fiddle some more with the options to see if I could pull something like that off with just the Paint Synthesizer vector settings. Part of the experiments here have been for fun (Studio Artist is the only art creation application I can say I have fun playing with) - part to see wether I can pull vector content (that SA generates) out as svg assets for illustration work. Recording the actions in a PasEq and exporting as svg can give me some things I would never be able to hand generate - or even think of. For posting here - I am also trying to keep the file sizes down. Sometimes you need a bigger image to carry the information/detail - but for web impressions - smaller images work ok.
Several more made with vector Paint Synth Presets (zip of presets included) - either hand painted or using the Action button. No particular personal statement other than the thrill of marking with colors and shapes and randon messes! As mentioned above - the act of marking and watching these in action is often more interesting than the final still image. Which got me going capturing the process as video like the attempt here:

I got around to playing with some of these tonight, very cool!
Sometimes just throwing stuff at the canvas IS fun!
Some more variations with wildly generated vector scapes and one vector sketch:
Paint Synthesizer presets that made some of the messes in the previous post and loads of vector hand painting presets.
The generative presets work best with the Action button or occasionally hand painting - slathering stuff on the canvas. The hand drawing tools are best applied with a stylus.
Fairly large /92000x2000px and larger) canvases are the best to work on.

Cool, thank you Craig!
Very Nice!
Some how a "9" got into that canvas size number. Should be: 2000x2000. At least that big for loads of fun!
