Hi, here is the video I made back in 2010 for my song "Teenage Tongue Cult". I finally found my master folder of image sequence files for it on one of my old hard drives, and since the version I had on my Vimeo was of pretty terrible pixelated low quality visually, I re-did it yesterday. It has extensive use of Studio Artist through the whole thing.
I made it by first animating the characters and scenes in Flash, against a mostly kind of muddy green background, a color I knew wasn't being used for anything else in the video, to make Region Selection easy in Studio Artist. I also added the audio of the song itself in the Flash master file. Then, I exported it as a quicktime movie, which I then took into Studio Artist (with audio pass through enabled in the preferences). Then I made a crazy huge PASeq with lots of Region Selection masking (selecting off the muddy green color) and using lots of MSGs, and the Paint Synthesizer (a tweaked clone brush to make the characters look a little more "painty"), and lots of muting and unmuting of various Sequential Keyframe action steps. There's some use of an image brush with the Brush Type set to "Stretch2 Source Brush" in the Paint Synthesizer editor that was fun to make and play with.
As always, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

It's weird how the link preview doesn't show up until I make another comment, but oh well
