Using a movie background texture, which can be configured to allow for random pieces of the movie frame to be used for painting at full res as opposed to fitting the entire frame into the source brush area. The background texture modulates the brush, which then paints with solid color paint. It's an alternative approach to using a movie brush where the movie frames build dynamic brush textures (as opposed to painting directly with the movie frame images).
