Using the vectorizer to generate a grid filled with loose vector shapes that are color modulated. It's using the new DualFill vector fill option in 4.03.

Hi John, I'm reading through all the Chuck Close links out from the forum and came to this result. Can you be more specific on how to create this image?
Using the Image option for the Main Technique. And an Adaptive Split Type.
It's using a Vector AntiAlias setting for the Canvas Render Option in the Drawing control panel.
And the Vector Fill Option is set to Dual Fill.
You could set the color randomization controls in the Drawing control panel where you want them artisticly.
I forget if i used a Region Effect or not. You could experiment with different ones. I added a Simplify Lite one in the screen shot below when i mocked up this effect this morning.
