3.5 question

It seems that my layer mods( blends, opacity tweaks) are not being recorded. It works as I create the art work but when I export the PASeq out and import back in, the tweaks between layers do not run. I am trying to have PASeq editor record all my tweaks on multiple layers. This is not for a movie but for a script that I can run against a folder of images. Thanks in advance, Laurence

  • PASeq's in version 3.5 do not store the layer blend and composite settings. They do record which layer you used, and will adjust accordingly if the layer playback PASeq configuration preference setting is turned on.

One approach is to save a session file along with your PASeq, since the session file will save all of the layer blend and composite settings for the different layers.

Version 4 does save the complete set of layer blend and composite settings for each individual PASeq action step. The old PASeq configuration settings are gone in version 4. Each PASeq preset stored the layer playback, mask playback, options as a part of the PASeq preset.

Depending on what you are trying to achieve in 3.5, you might be able to use a PASeq running a set of Fixed Image Ip Ops to simulate your layer adjustments. Since you can use the Fixed Image Ip Op to composite and blend 2 layers together. So a series of them as action steps could simulate a composited layer stack and would allow for a series blend and composite adjustments.
    • Will work on your methods and when I get my upgrade will proceed accordingly. Boy I am on a tear with SA!
leaving the mac on for days will thinking about the art/ the masters I am inspired by. Been years since I felt this way.

Also, John, it seems to me that some of these image ops are much more refined then Photoshop. I just have to get a screen capture utility to record my musings, mistakes and ah ha moments...
      thanks for the reply
