Hi, the 64-bit version of SA is crashing when I try to change canvas resolutions. It works fine though, when I use the 32bit version. I'm guessing the fix you found in November hasn't been incorporated in the latest version, (5.01). Is there a beta version with the fix I can use?

Do you have Rescale PASeq checked? The fix for that is not in 5.01.
Yes, it only occurs when rescale PASeq or rescale History is checked.
Interestingly, it happens instantly, when PASeq is checked, but not as quickly when History is checked.
The bug is associated with ip op action steps in a PASeq (or history sequence). So if you don't have any of those in your PAseq (like just paint action steps) it should work.
Dear john, in win 7 64, SA can generate less than 5000*5000, now I found a utility 4GB Patch and some info here http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/2-4GB_game_memory_limits_and_sol... do you think it can solve windows limits? If the answer is No , Do you know a way?
thank you
Interesting. I need to read it more throughly. But my quick read seemed to imply that one or more windows system files need to be modified. And it sounds like all of the dynamic libraries we use would also have to be modified.
We would never modify any system files as a part of our installer. I worry about trying to modify any of the dynamic libraries we use as well.
You are of course welcome to experiment on your own win system. I would suggest a full backup before you start, so that if you mess something up, you can restore your original system from the backup.
I tried it, until now, There is no problem, but I don't know about the future!
Let us know how it works out.
