Quicktime 7.4

I noticed this post on another forum this morning: 'Just a heads up. Apples latest Quicktime 7.4 update disables some ‘legacy’ codecs, specifically Sorenson and Sorenson 3. If you need to use these codecs, you must enable them within Quicktime Preferences, Advanced, Show Legacy Codecs. Cue “the more you know” music.' Just passing this on for people. I know some people here do use Sorenson or have videos on the web encoded in Sorenson.

    Thanks John,

    I often use both h.264 and Sorenson 3 and give visitors a choice, I got worried there for a while untii I read your full messsage and saw how to enable legacy encoders.
    Intersting note (maybe;-): even if the legacy encodes are not selected, 7.4 will play Sorenson and Sorenson 3 encoded files without problem, but these and other codecs will not be available for export.

Is anybody making a copy of all the material in the Tutorials Forum

Since the Forum is going away in June, has anyone started to make a copy of all the stuff in the Tutorials forum?I've made copies of some of the tutorial material on the main site, but haven't looked at the Tutorial Forum yet.I'm going to continue copying as much as I can for my own personal use anyway, but if anyone else is doing it, or has already started doing it, please let me know.Maybe we can co-ordinate our efforts. ps can't ..... believe John, would let this happen without so much as a…
