Deconstructing PAS ingredients?

I've found certain stock SA PAS's where I love the effect, but I want to play with the parameters that went into a certain step because the result is way different than when I invoke the step using the atomic operation using its default parameters. Some of the steps might involve a paint synth or an image op, and I'm used to single-stepping through a PAS to get a bit more control over how it operates (by turning off a step or deciding not to continue through the entire PAS). Is there any way to see what parameters were used for a particular PAS step? b

  • Yes, just press the little camera button on the left side of an individual paseq action step and when it plays back it also sets up the appropriate part of the studio artist interface with the settings recorded in it.

You can then edit an associated parameter, and if you option click that paseq action step memory button if will record the modified changes back into the paseq action step.

Studio Artist uses the metaphor of memory buttons extensively and all memory buttons store and playback associated user interface settings.
  • Very cool--thanks!
