If I have a big video to process which takes about 24 hours or even longer, is there a possibiliy to put the process on hold or to interrupt so that I can continue later? Or do I have to cut the video sequence into smaller bits and then do it one piece after the other. Thanks in advance

There is a continue animate button in the paseq palette. So you could click on a keyframe in the timeline header and then continue animate into an open movie stream. There's no way to stop a process menu command and continue later.

Also, be aware that if you have built a paseq that involves recursive processing then you would need to make sure the canvas was setup properly with your previous last output frame prior to starting a continue.
