using two processors

hello, I wonder how can I speed up rendering. Im running on intel mac os x 10.5.4 and when I look at my activity monitor, I see that studio artist is using only one processor (PowerPc). is there a way to turn intel on?

    It depends on what in particular you are running. The main paint synthesizer execution loop is not threaded, so that will use one processor. However, depending on what is going on in the paint patch you may see some threading. Many of the brush load options will thread the brush load computation.

    Image Processing operations like the rank area filters thread. The Vectorizer threads. Morphs and Warps thread. So it depends on what you are doing. The threading will occur when it does on both PPC and intel machines.

Is anybody making a copy of all the material in the Tutorials Forum

Since the Forum is going away in June, has anyone started to make a copy of all the stuff in the Tutorials forum?I've made copies of some of the tutorial material on the main site, but haven't looked at the Tutorial Forum yet.I'm going to continue copying as much as I can for my own personal use anyway, but if anyone else is doing it, or has already started doing it, please let me know.Maybe we can co-ordinate our efforts. ps can't ..... believe John, would let this happen without so much as a…
