Any keyboard shortcuts to change the color?

Hi All, I'm not a great fan of keyboard shortcuts, but one thing that I think would be nice is to be able to change the source color while I am painting. For instance a key to move clockwise in the color wheel, and another for anti-clockwise of course. Are there any such shortcuts? Thanks in advance Florence

  • amusant, j'ai demandé John l'exact à la même chose la semaine dernière ...

John.. I swear that this was not a set up. I never mentioned this idea to Florence, so now you have 2 users independently asking for the same feature.
  • OK. I added some new active link commands that adjust the source color. So you can use these commands to do what you want. You need to press the appropriate active links in the help browser. They are in paint synth evolution right now for lack of a better place to put them. You can of course build your own custom html help page(s) that contain these active links. So you click the link to adjust the color, as opposed to using a hot key.
    • So i guess the followup question would be what other push button adjustments would be useful for people in a live performance kind of situation?
    • I don't understand John. How is clicking a link better than clicking the color wheel? How can I click a link while painting? Or does the link activate something else? I'm confused, maybe because I never use those links. I don't have the help browser open. I need some space left for my image :-P
      • Do you use a pen and tablet while drawing? We could bring back wacom source mode. Actually, the wacom pen tilt hue control is still there, you can use the intous color mode option in the paint color source control panel. I'll think about a hot key activated version of that.
        • Yes, I use a Wacom Intuos. I found the intuos mode option and played a bit with it, it's fun :-) Thanks for the tip.
        • I have tried the intous tilt hue control. It does work, however my presets are already tilt and pressure sensitive, if you could hot key that sort of control independent of the pen tilt, that would be great.
          • The Intuos color modulation is nice since you can adjust the color while you are drawing the stroke.

I've thought about just using pen movement when a specific hot key is pressed to do the hue adjustment you and Florence want. I'll probably add that soon for you guys. You can't really use it to do color adjustment while a stroke is being drawn since the pen position is going to move off of the existing path if you base the color adjustment on pen movement.
