Bezier curves... movie

ok I am probably the slowest learner on the planet. I had not been using Bezier curves very much because in my concrete filled head I thought that one had to draw the curves using the Bezier draw and edit tools. These tools are not very developed in SA3.5 and I find them awkward. So I limited my use. NOW of course you can draw Bezier curves with any preset as long as you have the path layer record options turned on. I did know this, but way back in SA 1-2 with my then current machine the memory would overload and the program would crash pretty quickly. So I got used to leaving path record turned off. However some recent explorations have me thinking that Bezier curves might become my new best friend in SA. One of the great things about path layer record mouse is that it records the direction tilt speed and order of your strokes. In this movie I simply laid down about 30 strokes with the path record mouse on. (auto off). Then except for the beginning where I put in a bit of background everything else you see is simply cmd-k paint full layer. The substantial difference between auto generating paths from edges and hand laying a few strokes in, is that that the hand laid strokes contain the vector (speed direction tilt) information. this is so cool! .. and sorry to all who are saying DUH!.. but as I mentioned I am a slow learner...

Thanks for sharing... makes me feel slightly less like a mental midget, having only talked with people who think most of what I ask about is old hat.  But, then you know what, there's only really two ways to learn... trial and error, or someone else' trial and error. Unless I'm feeling stubborn and on a mission... I'm not too proud to ask.

By the way, would you mind telling me what you think of the latest "grunge gun" example sometime after it appears in my modest little gallery on here? It will be titled "Grunge Gun (complete example)".  Assuming it's approved of course.
