In April 2021, when I first try to install the new SA55 on MAC (Mojave10.14.6) the new monsterbaby want cry.
Peter from synthetik’s tech-support guides me to make it running fun.
The trick was to delete the SA-preference-file located in:
/ users / yourname / library / preferences
It is named:
com.synthetik.studioartist55.plist
Hard to find, because it's hidden, you have to make it visible by holding down:
command + shift + . (period)
When I try to open SA55 this morning, to get my daily dose of fun: SA want start (second time this week, don’t know why), so it was good for me to have the infos above to feeling good again...

library/preferences (in your main user directory) is the standard place apple wants developers to put an applications preference file.
The would also like us to put things like brush and preset folders in another hidden folder in library, but we have resisted that pressure so far.
There is also another library folder up at the very top directory of your main hard disk, but that library is associated with the operating system.
If you ever need to get your original 'first time i booted studio artist' preference settings back again, another option to try is the windows : default layout menu command.
