Future addition

I also own another software painting program - "Painter 2017." It has a feature I would love to see incorporated into Studio Artist. There is a "palette" called "Clone Source." With it I can have different photos and saved paintings that I can add one time each and then go back and forth between sources over and over (and on different layers) by just clicking on their names. There is even an icon I can click on titled "open source image." Once the image is loaded I can reference and use the image (and others) repeatedly.

Summing up, with this feature I can have multiple source images I can access quickly with just one click of the mouse. This is a lot faster than repeatedly opening a source image, using it, opening another source image over the one I just used and so fourth.

Oh, and it has a way to adjust Transparency with a slider build in.

Thanks for considering it.

  • You can get at the recent source menus pretty quickly. So that would be one approach.

The second option would be to setup a series of source context action steps in a paint action sequence. You could then click on their red keyframe to bring up different source images with a single click.

Here's a tip on context action steps and their use in PASeqs.

    • Wow. I never thought of that. Makes sense. Thank you.
