Hello everybody,
are there any of you who are or have ever used jumble preset in version 5.0? I'm curious about the preset settings. I want to fill the movie brush into a rectangle. Can this be done?
Apple has released some new software that will require my upgrading to their latest OS.I'm worried that by doing so I will break SA 5.5Does anyone here use SA successfully with Sonoma 14.5?Any info is greatly appreciated.

I want fill this with movie brush
Brilliant. Please can you share the preset that got you here with me. This will enable me to see how I can also help.
Thanks, but i just use the preset provide by StudioArtist 5.0 name jumbled color pallete 2. Then, i turn on the unionskin and start to put the rect shape on the source picture, one by one until it finish
Ok, you are referring to the Jumbled Color Palette 2 paint preset.
So, you can change the Brush Source from computational to image folder brush if you want. You can use the File : Paint Synthesizer : New Image Folder Brush menu command to do that. Or the movie brush option if you prefer that over an image folder brush.
But, you are going to have to change a few other settings in the paint synthesizer to see the images or movie frames.
in Paint Fill Setup, you want the Fill From to be Brush Image rather than Paint Color.
Also, in Region as Brush Mode, i'd use the Alpha Only - BrMod OrientRotate option for the Brush Option control.
And it's a vector paint preset, so you need to change the main Render Option in the Vector Output control panel from Vector (solid color) to Raster, since you want to use a raster image or raster movie Brush Source for the painting.
Thanks....i have follow the directions. but since i changed the settings for vector output, the rectangle cannot follow the shape of the edges of the image. Brush only occupies horizontal and vertical positions only. The shape is not always a rectangle, but also a square that makes the brush image disproportionate. For more details, I included the final results that I expected ...
the brush image not just fit fill into the shape, they also have a different sizes
I think there are better approaches than modifying that particular paint preset, which is really designed for the vector drawing it does. Also, you'd have to setup the brush modulation control panel orientation modulation appropriately to get the image rotation.
Do you want to draw the rectangle that gets filled using region fill as brush pen mode, or do you just want to drop in brush nibs at different orientations?
Both :)
Would you please tell me Which category has this jumble preset? I want to check it but i can not find it.
