Live Video Roto-scoping

Has anyone tried doing rotoscoping live video? I have figured out how to do this webcam-style updating the image captured every few seconds, then processing it live, but wondered if there is a way to do it fast enough to create a somewhat smooth video.

Just wondering.

  • I've done things like what you are doing using the live video frame capture option in the source area, and then processing that with a PASeq running in loop action. If you save the results as a movie stream, then the playback can be smooth and fast even if the actual processing was taking a few seconds for each frame to be generated in real time when it was running. 

    Not totally what you want, but maybe workable for some situations.

This forum closing - my attempt to keep things going
