Hi,
How does SA handle Photoshop color profiles?
I have a couple of images in Photoshop, I exported as TIF files. (8-bit)
When I used those images in SA, the color was all wrong, and not all the same as the image in Photoshop
I soon discovered, that the color profile, for these images in photoshop was, ProPhoto.RGB
When I converted the profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1, SA was able to render the color correctly
I'm not sure why photoshop output the files as ProPhoto, but shouldn't the color profile be transparent to SA? Meaning, shouldn't SA be able to translate all Photoshop color profiles?
Its not a huge deal, now that I undestand how to convert from one profile to the next, but I'm wondering if other users have the same issues.
Thanks

We read in the RGB and alpha pixel information in the raster image file. We don't do anything to change that data based on how it is or isn't tagged, so we don't change the colors of the pixels.
I don't think the standard routines we call to do this do any color modifications to the pixel data either. I'll do some digging to verify that.
