    The step you like is an action step. So when you run it, the interface configures itself so that the operation mode and it's associated parameters match what is recorded in that action step.

    At that point, you could just save the appropriate preset type for that operation mode.

    Or, let's say you recored that action step in a history sequence. You could then erase the current paseq, and then drag and drop the action step in the history sequence you like to the empty paseq, then save that one step paseq as a paseq preset.
