Painting frame by frame - "write on" effect

Hi Everyone,
I have a four second video clip I want to hand paint using the write on function.  Is there a way I can paint while the frames are previewing in the main canvas window and are there instructions for tips/ tricks to do this in SA4?

I'm not quite sure what you specificly want to do, but here's a few tips to check out.

Movie Streams can be used to auto-write frames while studio artist auto-paints in real time. Or while you manually paint. Here's a tip on movie streams.


You can load a movie file into a layer, and then manually do paint touch up on individual frames in the movie layer. Here's a tip that describes what you can do with movie layers in more detail.
