Make sure you are using vector drawing as opposed to raster drawing in the vectorizer. So in the Drawing control panel, you want the Canvas Render Option to be vector AntiAlias as opposed to Pixel Raster Fill.
One effect i use to try and smooth out jagged edges is this setting for the Smart Blur Ip Op
It's a smart adaptive filter. You can run it multiple times in a row.
