Hi, I wondered if anyone could answer my query, it's probably basic stuff for photographers.
I am about to send some work to a publishing company..the work was created in SA at 3500 x 2400. I have saved as jpeg.. they require 'jpeg level 12' ..I am a bit confused are the ones saved from SA the same?..Is this something to do with 16 bit versus 8 bit?
thanks

You could save as png, tiff, or psd and then convert that to a jpeg if you need control over the amount of jpeg compression in the file. Preview should do it.
In general, saving as an uncompressed image for final artwork is a good idea, since you can then compress after the fact in different ways. While still maintaining an uncompressed master art image.
thanks, that’s definitely helped
