Saving Work, Best Practices

Has there been discussion on the various ways in which people are saving their projects?

I'm constantly experimenting with various techniques and can never decide on how to store them. ie If I create a masterpiece do I store the PASREQ or HISTORY scripts inside a project folder, along with the masterpiece, or do i store the scripts along with all the other scripts, or do I store the scripts in both places?

What do most folks do?

  • If the project is specific to a particular source image, you can make a project folder, and store the source, paseq or history sequence, and any additional things in the named folder. You can also save a text document with notes on the project if that is useful.

If it's a PASeq you will use in multiple projects, then i typically save it in an appropriately named PASeq category folder.

I do a lot of gallery show manipulation. So it's good for that to have a lot of diverse preset for it to work off of for things like preset randomization or merging. So that's a vote for storing the scripts in bot places.
