Hey all,
Last night I was trying to do some manual painting with StudioArtist 5 and found that both 64 and 32bit versions had some issues when painting stuff. Basically what happens is that the paint strokes I'd do won't get drawn for a while or it doesn't draw them at all.
So no matter how many times I put down a paint stroke with different brushes, the paint strokes just don't happen.
Just to give a clear picture of what kind of environment I'm in. I'm using the late 2016 Macbook Pro with all settings maxed out. I'm also using a Wacom Cintiq as my input device. This is on the most recent version of macOS.
I had SA5's preference set so the undo location was set to DISK (that's just something I regularly did for version 4). As a workaround solution I just switched it back to RAM and it works fine.
Addendum: My painting is pretty huge: 4500x2000 (something like that).

We're looking into some undo related issues right now. Yours sounds different, because it's disk undo store related rather than ram undo store related. Could you start a tech support ticket at synthetik.zendesk.com for this issue you are describing. Tech support can then work with you so that we can reproduce the issue here.
I am aware of a screen update issue when auto-painting sometimes. It only seems to occur if the canvas scroll bars are active (partially obstructed canvas view). If you can see the entire canvas (hence no scroll bars) it doesn't happen. It's just a screen update issue, because if you move a control panel or do anything to make the window redraw, then you see the fully painted canvas.
The mouse losing focus undo issue we're looking into can be quickly rectified by leaving studio artist and then coming back. That seems to be associated with the 64 bit build only, we haven't seen that behavior in the 32 bit build.
There's also an issue right now with m key selection movement undo on windows and in the 64 bit build (ram undo store only). Again, it doesn't seem to be a bug in the 32 bit build.
