Version 4 Users - Please Update to 4.03 before Dec 28th

Just a reminder for all Studio Artist 4 users that Studio Artist 4.03 is the latest release, and in theory you should all be running it by now. However, i'm sure there are a few people who either missed our numerous upgrade emails, or never got around to using the upgrade download links contained in them.

You will want to make sure you are running Studio Artist 4.03, since the older version 4 builds will time out after December 29, 2010.

We did this to insure that all of our version 4 customers are running the latest and greatest builds. Also, because 4.03 generated presets are not necessarily compatible with previous versions, so we want everyone to be running 4.03 so they can use any new preset(s) we post on the web for Studio Artist 4 customers to download.

If you are a Studio Artist 3.5 or earlier customer, your old version will continue to run, what i'm talking about applies to version 4 customers only. You will be able to run your old Studio Artist versions until Apple stops providing rosetta support, something we have no control over. But if you are still running an older version of Studio Artist, i would highly recommend upgrading to the latest Studio Artist 4. You can find out more about Studio Artist 4 here.

If you still have not downloaded the 4.03 update and you are a Studio Artist 4 customer, please email techsupport AT synthetik DOT com and let us know, and we will happily email you a download link for the latest 4.03 update.

    • To back up Studio Artist, all you need to do is make a copy of the main Studio Artist 4 folder onto whatever backup media you are using. Everything Studio Artist uses to run is contained in that folder. We do this on purpose, so that installation, backup and de-installation are as easy as a folder drag.

Many version 4 users do keep a copy of studio artist 3.5 around on their machine in addition to version 4. Studio Artist 3.5 would have it's own main studio artist folder.

      • ok thanks for that..
