In Paint Synthesizer Classis,
One of the settings under the Generator value, is Vectorizer Regionize. One if its parameters, PSR Source, has a value called MSG
How do I know what MSG, is being used, and how would I change it?
Thanks

Hi Guys,So I have setup a forum here:http://www.sawberry.com/bbs/It links to the archive stuff. Plus allows posting on the threads which mirror the threads here.In a few days this forum will close so this is my attempt to keep things archived and also allow the community to continue. The way it is setup makes it difficult to search but i'm working on that in the meantime. The basic is to preserve the knowledge from this site and search will come later just i have a day job also so I can only get…

Yes, V5.5.5 introduced the ability to change what is coming into the Path Start Regionization options for the Generator in the Path Start control panel.
This feature is kind of a 'work in progress' thing, and is being more fully worked out in pre_V6.
Before we added this, the path start regionization algorithms all used the current source.
If you switch it to MSG, then the current MSG preset is what is coming into the path start regionization algorithms.
You can edit the current MSG preset in the MSG Advanced Editor. Or you can create new ones using the Evolution Editor. Or just load in new factor or custom MSG presets.
Paint Synthesizer presets have the ability to embed MSG presets inside of them. They can also embed IpOp or Vectoerizer presets inside of them as well.
There is a MSG Save in Preset option in the Miscellaneous control panel of the paint synthesizer. If it is turned on, then the current MSG preset will embed in the paint synthesizer preset when you save it. If you open a paint synthesizer preset with an embedded SG preset inside of it, then the MSG settings will be loaded as well as the paint synth settings, and the embedded MSG preset will become the current MSG settings in the MSG Advanced Editor.
Wow!
That's a pretty powerful option..
The default MSG, was creating some unwanted effects, but now that I know what to do, I'm excited to find out how far it will take me.
