Path start on different hues - with text

How do I have strokes only begin with certain colors? I am working with text brushes and I want to use one set of letters when the source is red. I would then switch to another set of letters when the source is blue.See More

"quick question, when I use the help dialogue and press the 'record' for PM1 nothing happens, I don't see an arrow or little pointing hand..it does appear for everything else. I am sure I am missing something very simple here. thanks"

"So, an easy way to create a fade over time to a static colored background is to use something like the Fixed Color image operation effect, with a Mix setting less than 100%. So if you ran Fixed Color to white with a 30% Mix as your first action step…"

Fade with alpha

I am looking for a way to fade strokes over time to 0% alpha channel. The effect I want it for the strokes to slowly fade away while new strokes are being drawn on top, frame by frame. I also want to be able to layer the result later, so I need an active alpha channel.I have tried several things using image operations and alpha overlays, but I'm not getting what I want. I can get the effect I am looking for if an alpha channel is not involved and I am drawing over everything. I have attached a…See More

What version of Studio Artist do you own?
How do you use Studio Artist?
I work in 2-D and animation, using Studio Artist to get artistic effects.
About Me:
Karen Hochman Brown [American, b.1958] is a Los Angeles-based photographer using software to manipulate her photographic images. In her signature style, Hochman Brown bends nature photographs into multi-layered kaleidoscopic constructs. The work is sensitive to the inherent beauty of the subjects as she strives to magnify that quality through focus and repetition. The resulting geometric forms resonate in harmony and discord, creating unique energies.
Hochman Brown studied art at Pitzer College, California College of Art and Art Center College of Design, but self-developed her processes through experimentation, relying heavily on skills learned as a graphic designer. Inspirations include Georgia O’Keeffe, Piet Mondrian, Frank Stella and the Geometric Abstraction movement.
Hochman Brown’s work has been shown mainly in California and New York. In addition to the kaleidoscopic art and digital painting, she creates experimental animation based on her 2-D work.
An Apple a Day
The idea is a simple one. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. We all assume the saying refers to eating an apple a day to keep away the physician. I propose to CREATE an apple a day and keep the psychiatrist away.

Each day, I will create a digital painting of an apple and print it as an archival print on paper. I will not save the high resolution file, only a low resolution version for reference and posting. The print is a unique image on paper, a monoprint of sorts. It is an original piece of art, signed by the artist.

I plan to set up the sale of these originals. That's my next project!

Automatic preset generation and high level editing

There are already a ton of different automatic preset generation features in Studio Artist. They include:1: Preset memories that record and playback all of the editable settings associated with a preset. And for the paint synth, preset memories that just record and playback editable settings associated with specific high level attributes of the preset, like path generation only, or brush settings only.2: Morph and Mingle commands that work off of 2 or more preset memories.3: Randomize…See More
