Tracking presets and operations

As a newbie, I'm trying to make changes to (e.g.) PAS presets. I know I can click on the red square in PAS, go the editor etc., but is there a way of tracking to see, when the preset selector switches to e.g. Classic Syn or Image Op, which specific preset and/or ImOp is being used? I know sometimes its obvious as the naming in the PAS is clear, but other times I haven't the faintest idea which one is being used.See More

"Just to be clear. Are you asking how you could generate a tiled mosaic effect where the foreground subject is tiled to represent the colors in the source image at those spatial locations, but the background color for the background tiles is forced…"

This is one heck of a program, but its hard to learn (with some joyous discoveries en route!). I'm trying to take a folder of images (of various colours) onto a blank (white) canvas without them taking up the colour of the canvas, just retaining their own colours ( but I'd also like to try variations where they might take up colours from a palette). I would prefer to be able to have options of the images  as a mosaic on a source image with those images taking up the colours of the source image…See More
